OUR GOAL

The Buffalo Sabres are making their most important assists off the ice! Six incredible dogs from our overcrowded City of Buffalo Animal Shelter have been drafted to a special "Starting Line Up," each one waiting for their shot at finding a forever home.

For every $150 raised, we can move one shelter dog into a rescue foster home, dramatically increasing their chances of adoption.

WHY IT MATTERS

Our City of Buffalo Animal Shelter is facing a crisis – they're overcrowded, understaffed, and overwhelmed. The reality is heartbreaking: limited space means limited time for each dog to find a home.

Foster homes are the game-changer these dogs desperately need. When a shelter dog moves to a foster home:

1. They decompress from shelter stress and show their true personalities
2. They learn household manners and build confidence
3. They gain an advocate who can showcase them to potential adopters
4. They free up critical shelter space for another dog in need

The math is simple but powerful: each dog moved to a foster home saves TWO lives – the dog who leaves and the one who can now enter the shelter.
